No recomiendo a nadie este hotel. Nos alojamos del 10/08 al 20/08 y nos obligaron a dejar un depósito de 400usd durante nuestra estancia. Cuando hicimos el check out nos dijeron que entre 1-5 días nos lo desbloquearian y no sólo no lo han hecho sino que lo han cobrado como si fuera un gasto más del hotel. No se puede hablar con ellos por teléfono, no contestan a los e-mails, nadie se hace cargo de nada. Son unos ladrones, hay más casos como el mío, no os alojéis en este hotel o acabraeis siendo robados. LADRONES!!!!

We came for a concert at the Garden, and decided to stay at The Stewart because of the close proximity and the larger room size (family with 2 teenagers). We were very satisfied! The beds were extremely comfortable and the room was very clean. I was a bit hesitant to book this hotel at first because of some negative reviews. I am so happy I did not go by the reviews - our stay was fabulous! The only negative thing I can say is the carpet needs to be replaced in some areas. It wasn't dirty - just a little worn. It is a beautiful old building and the charm made up for the carpets. If you are traveling with a family or even a group of friends, this is a great place to stay. The suites offer much more room than you can imagine in a NYC hotel, and having a kitchenette was a bonus! When we come back again, The Stewart is where we will be staying.

Terrible hotel. Reserve una suite con cocina, e intentaron meterme en una habitación diminuta sin nevera. Al quejarme me dieron una superior. Sucísima. Entre la mampara y el lavabo habían más suciedad que en la propia calle. Los bajos de la cama, todos manchados, no se si con sangre o chocolate. Tuvo que venir un empleado a limpiarlo a las 10 de la noche porque era asqueroso. Me cobraron una tasa de 200 dólares que se sacaron de la manga… y además un depósito de 300 dólares!! Depósito para que? Si la habitación estaba completamente destruida, mobiliario, roto, viejo y sucio. Llevo casi una semana reclamando la devolución del depósito, y nadie me contesta los mails!!!

Listen, we booked this room for our Harry Styles concert, and we were mislead by the photos online and the short distance from Madison Square Garden. While it seems to be like a convenient and affordable New York City Hotel, the actual problems with the room are not worth the savings. Our first room was covered in blood stains, full of mold and mildew, and the bathrooms were simply repulsive. The lamp was scratched and broken, and there was makeup and stains all over the beds. Our second room that we switched into -since the first room was disgusting- had again bloodstains all over the floor and outlets that either did not work, or nearly burned (our chargers were burning hot after only 3 minutes of being plugging in). The lights did not all work, and turned on randomly throughout our night at the hotel. In the beginning of the night, the outlet for the air conditioning did not work, and the room was simply boiling. Randomly, the outlet began working again and the AC could not be turned down to less than freezing. The kitchen light also randomly turned on and off on its own. The lobby, which is very clean and beautiful, is entirely misleading. There was so many other small problems, but I will spare who ever might read this by not mentioning them. Staff was quite kind.

Hotel com 4 estrelas mas aparenta ter 2. A recepção é boa.. mas quando se chega aos quartos decepção total... os quartos parecem uns bunqueres, com pouca limpeza... a casa de banho minuscula, o duche corre em fio.... não vou voltar a vir.

El hotel es muy bonito y la ubicación es excelente. El problema es nosotros ya habíamos pagado y a la hora de registrar nos piden una tarjeta para el deposito de seguridad que era de 300 pero se cobraron 1700 fuimos esa noche a decir y resulta que según lo arreglaronpero en lugar de eso cada noche nos cobraban más a la targeta llegamos el miércoles y salimos el sábado la manager no pudo hacer nada para ayudarnos pedimos hablar con el supervisor o alguien más pero llegaba tarde y no podíamos esperar dijieron que nos llamarían y cual fue la sorpresa que nos llamaron para decir q no nos cobraron una tarifa que el hotel cobra por noche, y nos reembolsará el dinero es lunes y aún sigo esperandomi dinero

La UBICACIÓN es buena. Estas en la 7th Av. Saliendo del hotel a la derecha puedes ver times square (para llegar tienes a ts camina como 15 min, unas 10 calles). Nosotros llegamos de México al JFK y en subway a manhattan salimos en la estación de la calle 34 con la 8va. Y caminamosmuy poco la 7 con la 31 que es donde esta el hotel. Después nos movimos a Washington D.C y solo caminamos una cuadra al frente a Moynihan Train Hall at Penn Sta. HABITACIÓN. El hotel es VIEJO camas cómodas, el espacio está bien puedes moverte con libertad (hay más espacio que h. Pensilvania) pero el baño antiguo con olores impregnados, aunque lo limpiaban yo sentía que olía a orina, es "barato" pero en Mexico por ese precio los hoteles están muchísimo mejor, para que no te asustes. Ventaja, tiene cocina (estufa, frigobar y tarja) no había platos ni cucharadas ni sartenes, pero supongo que tenías que pedirlos yo solo ocupé el frigo. En cuanto al personal del lobby muy mal, si no hablas bien el inglés, te hacen caras de fastidio y no hacen nada por querer entenderte o apoyarte, por suerte siempre mi hijo nos apoyaba.

Las habitaciones estaban sucias. Había poca luz. El colchón del sofá cama era muy malo, se notaban los muelles y era muy incomodo. En recepción nadie sabía español. No había donde colgar las toallas y encima olían mal. El hotel podría estar insonorizado porque era difícil dormir en pleno centro de nueva york.Gracias.

The start of my stay was not the best, my room was three hours late. I did not get a key until around 7 pm. The front guest agent was very nice Alexis and professionally handled the delay but it was still a delay that affected the rest of my evening. I was not notified when my room was ready (it had been ready for an hour). The room overall was dingy and worn out, nothing like the pictures on the website. The room was very obviously lived in and I was taken aback considering the reviews I read were mostly positive. I really only stayed here for the two bathrooms suites- so I guess that'swhat I needed. Also, the bathroom sink did not drain and the shower leaked over the entire floor (pretty gross). I informed the front desk they sent someone up but it still did not drain properly the rest of the stay. The bright side all the staff I interacted with was very nice and helpful. But overall, the room needs better upkeep or worn items, furniture and wall paper.

Al llegar al hotel me asignaron una habitación inferior a la que había reservado y en unas condicidiones muy malas de higiene; por tres veces tuve que reclamar a la recepcion de que las condiciones higiénicas no eran las adecuadas y que la habitación no era la correcta; sin embargo ninguno de los empleados de recepcion ni los manigeros Emily y Andrés hicieron nada por resolver la situación y permitieron que mi familia durmiera la primera noche en una habitación sucia y sin equipamiento de aseo.

My partner and I stayed at The Stewart Hotel for a day stay via the Hotels by Day app. Check-in was seamless and we received a warm reception upon arrival. The hotel room on the other hand was less than pleasant. The carpet and couch in the room were visibly soiled. There was peeling paint in the bathroom and cracks in the ceiling. There was very noticeable dust on the lamps and theshower floor also looked like it hasn’t been cleaned in a very long time.The television also didn’t work. The hotel room was spacious but could use a deep cleaning and furniture upgrade. The nicest feature of the room was the wallpaper and space.

I stayed here with my son for his birthday. Staff and customer service was great. Reason for the 4 stars is hotel cleanliness it could be a little better. Rooms are great size. We had queen bed and sofa in our room, but I definitely wouldn't use that sofa to sleep on. (Can be dusted or vacuumed) to make it look more presentable. Other than that everything was great and yes I would stay there again.

Muy lindo hotel, nos tocó una habitación grande con cocina y 2 camas de e plazas, cómoda para movernos e incluso comer. A pesar de estar en una avenida y tener una estación de bomberos en la misma cuadra, no fue tan ruidosa. Solo tuvimos que reclamar varias veces los talones para todas.Una ubicación ideal.

We enjoyed our stay. The location at this hotel is perfect, walking distance to most tourist attractions and pen station. The women who cleaned out hotel is super nice. She would always make sure we were taken care of. And she gave me some bags for dirty laundry when I asked. I accidentally left my phone in our room after we checked out and a man was super nice and quick to take me back up to my room to find it. Some of the wall paper in my rooms bathroom was slightly pealing but other than that it was a nice place.

I give this hotel 5 stars. The suite was spotlessly clean and that's always my biggest bug bear in hotels. We were high enough up to not have any street noise disruption . We had a one double bed room suite. Sofa was very comfortable too. Shower roasting hot water and plenty of fluffy towels. Small kitchenette with 2 ring hob and a fridge so you can save so $$$ and eat in. This hotel location is ideal for walking Manhattan. Across the road from Penn railway Station and close to subway. Staff were very courteous and any request was dealt with very speedily. For price and location it's ideal and we will stay here again when next in NY.

I've stayed here several times over the years. The location is fabulous - centrally located, and across the street from Penn Station.The rooms have gotten a bit worn and could use a spruce up. I realize the pandemic has been tough on tourism, so I can see it might not have been time for room upgrades, but out suite could have used a good deep clean as well.Staff is friendly and helpful. If I hadn't gotten an amazing deal on the room, I'd have definitely complained. It was fine, from r the reduced price I paid, but definitely not worth full rate.

Thank you to the wonderful staff at the Stewart Hotel for a fantastic weekend. The Stewart is a stone's throw away from Madison Square Garden and the perfect spot to stay overnight after catching a show. They offer large suites and also have a great Bar downstairs. We've already recommended to friends, be staying with you again in the future.

March 22 UPDATE: Just back from another stay in a one bedroom suite. The EDGE Designers had five floors blocked for their trade show so they were busy and we stayed on a different floor this time. The room was smaller than any I had previously seen (still big by NYC standards) and the bedroom was entirely interior with no windows which I got used to if I kept the door open. The tables were definitely scuffed and had seen better days, but it was all clean and in working order and they replaced several pieces from the room next door to us while we were there so they are refreshing rooms as needed. I still stand by this being a fabulous place to stay - without a doubt the best in this price point and even several above it. NOV 21 I am honestly shocked at the number of negative reviews for such a clearly fantastic gem. I’ve stayed in a LOT of hotels in NYC and worked professionally here in the industry in the past and have found the Stewart to be my new favorite for so many reasons. I’ve stayed in their one bedroom suites on three week-long trips now and they are enormous - bigger than many one bedroom apartments in the city for sure. They’ve all been quite clean, well stocked and maintained with housekeeping checking in to see that we were all set. The location is really central to everything and safe and secure. They kept lots of the old brick, moldings and the heavy real wood doors with what seems to be the original mirrors too! Kitchens are the only all new parts of the rooms I have stayed in which I appreciate. Again, I don’t know what sort of expectations many of these reviewers have had in their minds of NY &/or this hotel - but they sound unrealistic and like they’ll always find something to complain about (in the midst of a pandemic no less)!

I was hesitant to book a room at this hotel after reading a bunch of bad reviews, but I was going to a concert at Madison Square Garden and decided last minute to stay overnight. The room rates were very good on the website, and when I called to make a reservation, the person on the phone was very friendly. He got me an even better price than what I was seeing online. Check in was easy. The room was upgraded to a 1 bedroom suite and it was way more than what I needed. The room was huge. The furniture is definitely worn, and could use an update, but the bed was clean and comfortable, and so was the bathroom. There is self parking for $45 and valet for $70. It's a 2 minute walk to Penn Station, Madison Square Garden etc. Very good bang for your buck, as long as you're not expecting it to be a palace. People complaining about the noise - it's Manhattan, so yes there are sirens and street sounds all night.

The bathroom was well laid out and homey. The furniture was well kept, though clearly worn. The bed was very comfortable and clean. The space overall could use a refresh, new wallpaper and carpet. But was in good condition for its age. The only thing that was dirty was the curtain things at the top of the windows. They just need to get pulled down and washed. Overall it was a good stay and I would go back next time I’m in the area

Estoy en este momento en el hotel. La habitacion no tiene dos camas conforme reserve. No coincide con ninguna foto de las publicadas. Tuve que armar el sofa cama personalmente. Pedi sabanas para hacerlo. Las trajeron rotas y manchadas. Trate dos veces de reclamar pero no hay nadie que atienda en español. Prometieron finalmente cambiarnos mañana. Veremos que sucede.

When you first enter the hotel you are greeted by a grand and beautiful lobby. But after check in you soon realize the hotel does the bare minimum to hold its 4 star status. The housekeeping, front desk, and all personnel in the lobby were helpful and kind, the main stars of the hotel. But upon arriving to my room 2125 (request another room immediately) I was greeted by a roach and a sauna like room. I could not turn on or off the heating system. The elevators could be heard every few minutes. We requested mechanics to come and fix the heating issue since there were no other rooms available for our needs. The mechanics did little to nothing and were condescending. The first mechanic just turned on the AC which is locked away during winter months. The AC then stopped working after an hour, resulting in a restless night. The second condescending mechanic on the following day clearly unaware of the problems in their building did everything but try to help us. Just ridiculous there were no way to crack a window or control the heating system. Furthermore the room had many places where you can see cracked painting and lack of regular maintenance. The hotel doesn’t really represent what a 4 star hotel should be. You are better off going to smaller 3 star hotels for a better overall experience.

Stayed here from 1/30/22to 2/5/22. The room was pretty good a little small but definitely ain’t complaining about it. Everything was great. Maybe my only complaint would be the fact that you can’t control the heater and sometimes it would get too hot but other than that had a good stay.

Desde la ubicación,a minutos caminando de Times square,Broadway,frente a la estación Penn,Madison square garden. La hospitalidad de todo el personal,siempre dispuesto a ayudarnos. Todos los días nos preguntaban si necesitábamos algo (toallas, jabón, papel, bolsas de residuos,café, etc.) O hacer la habitación. Es un Hotel grande, pero siempre había un asensor esperando para subir (nosotros estábamos en un piso 19) Por eso y mucho más,volvería a elegir Stewart hotel. Thanks for everything Will be back!!!

4 star Hotel !? Took 3 attempts to find us a room which was clean enough to stay in (then only just).. Scruffy is a good word for this place. Needs a lot of money spent on it and a cleaning staff review. Front desk staff were great to be honest. But as you can see from my 🌟 rating that's about all it would get in the UK 🇬🇧. Been in much better premier inn's than this place.

We booked a one bedroom suite with kitchen. When we arrived the floors were badly stained. The walls had stains. The AC did not work. We found toe nail clippings on the floor. The stove did not work and that was a feature we paid extra for. The kitchen faucet was not installed properly and we could actually lift it up from the counter. Someone had saran wrapped the smoke detector. One of the wash cloths in the bathroom had brown stains on it. And when we pulled the sofa bed out, we found blood stains on the sheets. We also found garbage behind the sofa along with weed. The front desk did help with getting us a new room. But we could not get a new room until our second night because the hotel was booked. We received a refund of about $130 which in my opinion was not enough. Besides the staff being friendly and helpful, this was a horrible experience.

Good hotel for the price value and especially great for location. It’s located right by Penn Station/near Herald sq so it’s central to everything in Manhattan and not too far from Brooklyn and Queens as well. The service is pretty good and they accommodate requests efficiently.

The room was very spacious and the kitchenette area was nice (though we didn't use it) but the AC leaked inside the room so the floor was soaked, the bathroom smelled like mildew and was so small. It was a task getting an elevator during checkout (waited upwards of 20 mins and we were one the 17 so walking down with bags wasn't an option). I like that they asked for masks in the common areas. No room service (I think because of Covid, which I respect) but would have loved an on-site eating option. Location was good, walking distance from a lot of things.

First off, I will say that the pictures that are posted of this hotel are better than how it is in real life. The location is awesome since it’s right in the center of all the fun attractions. Staff is super friendly and are attentive of guests. As far as the rooms, the walls are not clean, neither are the windows. On our 2nd day the AC broke down and even after “fixed” we had problems with it. Overall it wasn’t too bad but they could really work on making their hotel better.Hope this helps :)

Loved it. The room wasn’t the most clean that I’ve ever seen, but the location is amazing. It’s definitely worth staying here and I would come again. The staff is friendly and welcoming.

As native New Yorkers, we stayed at the hotel during our transition between our rental apartment and one we were purchasing. The hotel staff was incredibly accommodating and kind to us. Andrew offered exceptional service as a Manager as did Edward and their team including Jenny, and Anthony. I cannot tell you how wonderful they all are. They went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and really made our stay during this major transition comfortable. If you are from out of town staying here, the location is so central making everything walk-able that you would want to see. Having a small business, we truly valued more than anything the wonderful customer service this fab team gave us. We recommend this hotel and want to say a big thank you to the staff here and highly recommended it as a place to stay convenient and central to all you would want in New York. --Lauren + Lance

Muy buena ubicación. Limpio. Habitación amplia, aunque habíamos solicitado una habitación con dos camas grandes, no dieron una que tenía una cama grande muy comoda y un sofacama grande, está comoda...pero hubiese estado mejor una cama. El único contra que puedo mencionar es el baño muyyyyy chico.

The website online portrays this hotel as a gem in the middle of Manhattan with relatively affordable rates. However, upon entering the hotel you will find the establishment to be quite disappointing. The building in general is very dim lit and makes it seem as if you are touring an old haunted mansion. The rooms are alright but not up to the expectations one might hold after looking at their website. The bathroom is smaller than a shoe closet and is extremely dirty. The entire building is due for a overhaul to be fit to current standards of a four star hotel. The only reason I am giving 2 stars is because the staff were helpful and provided a refund for the stay in full on the day of checking in.

Al hacer la reservacion nunca mencionaron un cargo de 30 dólares extra por día, reserve 2 habitaciones así que pague al final casi $150 sin saberlo, una habitacion tenía sofá cama y no me dejaron ropa de cama para este, a pesar de que mencione que el cuarto lo reserve para 2 adultos y 2 niños, era ilógico pensar que una cama Queen funcionaria para 4 personas, y el baño a pesar de estar limpio tenia un olor horrible,no vuelvo a reservar con ustedes. Muy mala experiencia para mi familia.

By far the worse hotel I’ve stayed at. Rooms were not properly Sanitized, including the bathroom. Cleanliness is top priority with hotels. We suddenly found blood on the sheets and we were even more thrown off by that. Wifi never worked after attempting for an hour. We tried to call downstairs but no one was available. No surprise there. Took my $300 deposit just to go through that and find blood on the sheets. Elevators also took around half an hour to get to our floor, which was the 24th floor. Couldn’t use the stairs with all the luggage we had! Took another half hour waiting to get to the lobby.

Al llegar tuvimos un inconveniente porque la habitación que reservamos no la había disponible pero nos ayudaron con una habitación parecida. El hotel muy limpio y lindo. El servicio y el personal muy contento y amable en especial la seguridad . Todo estuvo bien.

I would like to retract my origin rating from 2yrs ago.... I understand we just are coming out of a global pandemic but it seems that you guys must be infected. The idea of you even fathoming the idea that a $300 deposit per night minimum is acceptable is the knee slapper of the millennium. A brand new resort hotel just blocks away that only opened 2 weeks ago only puts a$150. This is not some gold encrusted,diamond toilet establishment where you could get away with that. Even if it were it's still a joke.... Shame on you and I hope this decision causes you people to have to close your doors.

Such a disappointment. This Hotel has so much potential....in need of major TLC.The only plus was the location and friendly staff. This is NOT a 4 star hotel. Our first room extremely dirty. Rooms look nothing like website pictures. Stains on towels, carpet, window curtains. Mold all over the bathroom tiles. Dingy, stained,dirty tub. Tub was not draining water properly. Old unkept A/c unit with vents extremely covered in dust. Dusty window sills and furniture. Furniture is in need of replacement due to severe dings and cracks. Only thing that looked acceptable was the bed linens. Complained to the manager and showed him pictures. He immediately offered to move is to a new room. Second room was a bit nicer because it had a balcony. However, very poorly maintained. Again with stains on window treatments, tub, etc. Carpet in this room was much cleaner and it had a new A/C unit. I DO NOT recommend this Hotel if you are looking for 4 STAR hotel accommodations. I will upload pictures and hope hotel doesn't have Google remove them so that people know what to really expect from this Hotel.

I’ll give this place a 3. The wifi worked but wasn’t fast, disconnected frequently. Price-wise it was very good. The room was big and spacious. I like the location being near Madison Square garden but could have been better. The bedroom was decent. The bathrooms were outdated and not maintained properly. Lobby and staff were excellent and the general cleanliness of the hotel was good.

Fantastic location, right across the street from Penn Station with easy access to the subway and LIRR. Just a few blocks from Chelsea, Times Square, Grand Central, and other popular spots. Studio suites have lots of space for a downtown hotel and it's so nice to have a fridge, microwave, and cook top available. Some folks have complained about the ambiance, but I found it enjoyable. Low, soft lighting throughout makes it feel like a cozy retreat from everything outside, and the modern decor is fun and comfortable. Staff are friendly and helpful. There are places it shows its age like some of the outlets in the rooms, but everything works well and is clean. Overall a good hotel and a good value.

En las fotos de internet y el lobby del pasillo aparentan ser como si fuera moderno en todo, pero cuando llegas a tu habitación te das cuenta de q no tiene nada moderno en las habitaciones, bastante antiguo todo viejo. Y las alfombras lucen mal y viejas. La verdad es q no me sentía muy cómoda, me daba un poco de cosa a pesar de q todo lucia limpio a la vista, creo q para su precio está algo bn. En fin, estaba todo limpio, no tuve ningún problema con el personal, excepto q cuando llegue allí a por fin descansar me habían cancelado la estadía y tuve q irme a otro hotel, pero el último día de mi estadía me quede en este y esa fue mi experiencia.

Great location, not great hotel. Located right across from Madison Square Garden, the hotel looks really "fancy" when you first enter. The lobby is big, and clean, and you would expect your room to be the same... but it's not. The room reminded me of a motel room. It was big and fit us all, but it was definitely dated. And the bathroom was so small, with the smallest shower I've ever used. It did have a great bar at the entrance, though. Parking is about $55 a day, and is under the hotel. But they don't keep the cars there the whole time. When we picked up our car up, it was filthy... as if it was outside the whole time. It was the cheapest hotel for what we were looking for, but I think next time we'll spend the extra money.

The two star is for location. Front desk wasn't terrible but nothing special. The bad: Room smells like sweat and urine. (Don't bring a girlfriend) Bathroom and floors are outdated and small. Alarm clock that I did not set went off at 3am. My key didn't work and had to go back to front desk and get a new card. Hallways ARE DARK on the floor and trash was sitting outside the elevator Overall, a hotel is somewhere you should be able to go to and relax after touring this great city. This place smells like a dirty locker room or subway station. My recommendation is to stay at the chain hotels. These boutique hotels feel gross. Believe the reviews.

If you arrive before 4 pm they won’t give you a room no matter what. Then they will ask you to wait at Starbucks across the street. Everyone check in at 4 PM. Huge line. I had a shower and realized that there were no towels at all. I called the front desk and 30 minutes later I had to use my own clothes as towels. I went down stars and asked for towels. The guy wrote in the paper and I said I was in rush and needed it quick. He said : ‘ I can’t do anything about it’. Terrible service. Only good thing about this hotel is the location.

O tratamento dos atendentes deixa muito a desejar. Foram extremamente grosseiros vá rias vezes. O quarto é outro problema pq além de sujo e cheio de poeira, tem um sofá cama que parecia uma faca nas suas costas. Definitivamente nao compensa o valor pago.

Desilusão Hotel a precisar de uma boa reforma. As imagens publicadas devem ter sido tiradas à uns bons anos! A limpeza deixa muito a desejar. O serviço de restauração é bastante limitado em termos de horário. Os quartos têm muito má climatização, ou demasiado quentes ou frios. Por várias vezes chega o cheiro a tabaco de outros quartos. Foi pedido serviço de limpeza de quartos após as 11am e confirmaram que iam enviar alguém mas ninguém apareceu!!! Existem outros hóspedes nos quartos!!! 🦗🦗🦗
